It is no secret and no surprise: Goshen College has been in many ways subverted – turned from below – by our inquiring and passionate students and faculty and the transformational changes they have brought about.
ON MARCH 4, 1969, Daniel (Dan) Leatherman ’58, associate professor of political science, sent a three-page resignation letter to President Paul Mininger ’34. Leatherman had distinguished himself academically as an undergrad and after studying at the University of Chicago, he returned to join the GC faculty in 1963.

Proof that teachers and students can impact each other’s lives can be witnessed in the mutual admiration between educator Robina Sommers and her student Jason DuBois. Their relationship developed each of the four times Sommers had DuBois as a student.
91.1 The Globe was named “Radio Station of the Year” for institutions with enrollments under 3,000 students by the College Media Association with their Pinnacle Award at their annual National College Media Convention in Atlanta in October. This is the first organizational Pinnacle Award for The Globe and the station’s fifth national title.
