On January 25, 2023, Goshen College students, staff and community members gathered in the Church-Chapel to celebrate the recent designation of the college as a Hispanic-Serving Institution by the U.S. Department of Education. 2023 S.A. Yoder Memorial Lecture featuring Urayoán Noel happening Feb. 9
Urayoán Noel, a Puerto Rican poet, translator and performer who teaches at New York University, will present the 2023 S.A. Yoder Memorial Lecture, “Adjacent Islands: A Geopoetics of Translation'' on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Umble Center. This event is free and open to the public.

Goshen College designated a Hispanic-Serving Institution by U.S. Department of Education
The U.S. Department of Education formally designated Goshen College as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) last week. This means that for consecutive years the college has met the criteria of at least 25 percent of its full-time undergraduate students identifying as Hispanic/Latinx, and that it enrolls a high number of students who demonstrate financial need.
Millsaps named new executive director of the college’s Center for Community Engagement
Goshen College President Rebecca Stoltzfus announced Cyneatha Millsaps will be the new executive director for the college’s Center for Community Engagement. Her new role began January 1, 2023.
