SST as a discovery of heritage
An increasing number of Goshen College students join an SST course or semester as a way of exploring their own heritage. While some students prefer an adventure in a culture as different as possible from their own, others welcome the chance to deepen their understanding of their own backgrounds.

Goshen College welcomes new employees for 2023-24
Goshen College welcomed new employees for the 2023-24 school year, some of whom were hired and began their duties earlier this year.
Leadership through adversity
Maple Leafs pitcher and first baseman Alisyn Catenacci was experiencing the highest of highs in mid-March earlier this year. She played an instrumental leadership role, on the mound and at the plate, in Goshen’s historic season, which saw them set the program conference wins record and tie the record for overall wins in a season. For all her success during the year, it is hard to believe that her career was in jeopardy last August. Yet she continues to be a leader on the field and in the classroom.
A Yearning for Learning
Tim Wilkening has yet to play in a soccer game with Goshen College. However, he has made his presence known around campus since arriving in January. Wilkening has also learned a lot over the last year. He has learned about the United States after coming from Germany. He has learned how to recover from a broken tibia. He has learned about Goshen College. And he learned the ins and outs of a team as the assistant coach for Goshen City FC this summer. Yes, he has experienced much growth, but he is far from reaching the goals he has set.
Strength in Unity
Arleth Martinez stays busy. But no matter which organization she is working to make better, she always has a solid ability to unite whatever team she is a part of. “In the end,” she says, “we all come together in one big circle.”
Faith that shines
The Zion Neat, Goshen College women's basketball star, has been battle-tested in many ways throughout her life, but she has kept her faith and relationship with God at the forefront throughout. Her trust in God makes perfect sense when you hear her talk about her mother.

Goshen College and Greencroft Communities are partnering in a new program, Maple Fellows, to place Goshen College students in various organizational jobs at Greencroft Goshen while also earning money towards their tuition.
