Goshen College Choirs to present annual EARTHTONES concert on April 20

The Goshen College Choirs will present their annual EARTHTONES concert of world choral music in Sauder Concert Hall. The choirs — Chamber Choir, Vox Profundi, and Voices of the Earth — will present a varied program featuring choral works from a wide variety of countries and sung in foreign languages. Graduating senior choir members will also be recognized in this concert. The choirs are directed by Scott Hochstetler and H. Roz Woll.

MC USA Constituency Leaders Council finds hope in facing fears, sharing stories

The MC USA Constituency Leaders Council (CLC) reflected on the question, “What does it mean to do church together?” at its biannual meeting at College Mennonite Church, Goshen, Indiana, on March 21-23, 2024. Moderator-elect Marty Lehman presided over the meeting, which introduced leaders to MC USA’s new strategic plan, invited them to participate in reinvention exercises, and offered inspiration through storytelling.

Ben Oswald ’73 inducted into Colorado Soccer Association Hall of Fame

With 120 players participating in the competitive Chaffee County United Soccer Club, it might be easy to forget how soccer in Chaffee County was, not so long ago, small and divided. Coach Ben Oswald, an instrumental part of shaping youth soccer in Chaffee County, was recently named the 93rd inductee into the Colorado Soccer Association Hall of Fame. Oswald coached 40 years total.

Goshen College wins Indiana Radio and Video School of the Year awards again

On Saturday, March 23, Communication students traveled to Carmel, Indiana for the annual Indiana Association of School Broadcasters (IASB) College Awards Luncheon and Indiana Broadcasters Association’s (IBA) Spring Career Fair. The college landed 31 awards, including 9 first place honors across the competition against 14 of the top media colleges in the state. Most notably, GC was awarded the Radio and Video School of the Year by the IASB.
