Dr. Jonathan N. Roth, professor emeritus of biology at Goshen College, passed away in Goshen on March 13, 2024, at the age of 86. He taught at the college for 42 years, from 1962 to 2004.

A Goshen couple will soon celebrate eight decades of marriage.

On Wednesday evening, I stood in front of about 30 college students and taught a history lesson. I was asked to talk about Goshen restaurant history at a small event over the dinner hour at Goshen College. Students in Associate Professor Philipp Gollner’s American Foodways class invited others on campus to join them for some food from Goshen restaurants. I think that was the draw of this event, not someone giving a brief talk.
