GOSHEN, IND. – The Goshen College Performing Arts Series is set to host a captivating double-bill concert featuring the renowned American Patchwork Quartet and the exceptional Martha Redbone Roots Ensemble. This unique musical event is set to take place at the college’s state-of-the-art performing arts center on at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024.
The American Patchwork Quartet, known for its mesmerizing blend of genres and cultural influences, promises to deliver an unforgettable performance. Comprising four virtuoso musicians, each a master in their own right, the quartet weaves together threads of jazz, folk, blues and classical music to create a sonic tapestry that reflects the rich diversity of American musical traditions. Following the Quartet’s performance, the stage will be graced by the Martha Redbone Roots Ensemble. Martha Redbone, a celebrated singer-songwriter known for her evocative voice and deep-rooted connection to her Appalachian and Cherokee heritage, will lead the ensemble through a performance that seamlessly fuses folk, blues, gospel and Native American musical influences. With thought-provoking lyrics and a soul-stirring sound, Martha Redbone and her ensemble promise to transport the audience to the crossroads of tradition and modernity, leaving them enriched and inspired.
