Continuing studies programs for adults earning a bachelor’s degree include social work, business administration, organizational leadership and registered nurse to bachelor of science in nursing (R.N. to B.S.N).
- R.N. to B.S.N. (nursing): Designed for R.N.s who want to earn a bachelor’s degree, our nursing program opens up great opportunities for career advancement. GC nursing graduates are highly sought after by hospitals and other healthcare facilities in the area. You’ll learn from experienced faculty in small classes, and taking two five-week courses at a time, year-round, enables you to keep working during school – and graduate faster.
- Social work: A shortage of social workers, high job placement rate and attractive income potential make the social work field and our social work degree more attractive than ever. The only accelerated adult social work degree in the region, this nationally accredited program has a 100 percent passing and licensure rate. Our program is regionally and nationally known and respected, and our grads are highly desired by employers.
- Business administration: Created to help you transition into a new professional level or career, this business degree puts you on a career path you don’t have today. The program specializes in experiential learning, with faculty who are involved with the business community. You can get up to 20 credits for work experience and take two seven-week courses at a time, year-round. Seventy percent of graduates land jobs in their field within a year.
- Organizational leadership: Designed to help you advance in your current position or qualify for an upward career change, this accelerated program has high employer acceptance. You can transfer credits, get credit for work experience and enhance your experience through cohort learning. Plus, you can zip along by taking two 5-week courses at a time, year-round.
Goshen College also offers four master’s programs, including graduate degrees in intercultural leadership, environmental education, a master of science in nursing – family nurse practitioner and our newest program, the collaborative master of business administration.
- Intercultural leadership: This unique degree is designed to help leaders get a diverse team to work well together to improve organizational effectiveness. The program integrates proficiencies in management, public administration, organizational development, leadership, diversity and intercultural communications. As such, it places graduates in a competitive position for leadership roles in today’s increasingly diversified organizations.
- Environmental science: The Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College offers a 12-month graduate studies program that culminates in a master’s degree in environmental education. This program is designed for college graduates who will work as environmental educators in diverse settings such as nature centers, outdoor education programs, nonprofit camps, parks and recreation programs, public and private schools and independent environmental organizations.
- M.S.N. family nurse practitioner: This program is designed for the registered nurse who is a graduate of a baccalaureate program in nursing, and is conveniently designed with courses meeting once per week during late afternoon and evening hours. A distinctive feature of our program is an emphasis on nursing care in a culturally diverse society.
- Collaborative M.B.A.: Unlike many M.B.A. programs that focus only on developing technical skills, our program includes and transcends these skills, adding additional emphasis on personal formation, relationships, sustainability, international study, and social and economic justice. A flexible schedule is geared toward working adults.
Individual visits are also available throughout the year. For more information, contact Kendra Ramseyer at 574-535-7458, kendra@goshen.edu or visit goshen.edu/adult.
