Joel Kauffmann believed laughter was a gift from God. The comic strip author, screenwriter and resident of Goshen since 1970 died at the age of 64 on Friday, May 8. Kauffman was perhaps best known for his comic strip Pontius’ Puddle, which he used to comment on the church, world and human condition.
