The Goshen College Community School of the Arts is pleased to announce a new Orff-Schulwerk Ensemble for students in grades 2-5, a student-centered approach to learning music that includes movement, speech, singing and instrument playing.
The Goshen College Choirs will present their first concert of the 2016 school year with their annual Winter Choral Concert on Saturday, Feb. 13. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
Hailing from historic County Waterford, the acclaimed Irish ensemble Danú will celebrate Christmas in Goshen on Tuesday, Dec. 8, by taking its audience on a musical journey to their native land during a Performing Arts Series performance in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m.
The Aureole Trio will perform at Goshen College on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 4 p.m. in the Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall as part of the Rieth Chamber Series.
Celebrated Norwegian bass-baritone Njål Sparbo will present “The Songs of Edvard Grieg” on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall.
The Zorá Quartet, winners of the 42nd Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, will perform at Goshen College on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. in the Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall.
Rhiannon Giddens, who earlier this month gave a show-stopping performance at the Americana Music Awards in Nashville, will perform in Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Performing Arts Series.
Visiting artist and concert pianist Arthur Greene will present a solo piano recital in Goshen College Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 3, concertgoers have the opportunity to secure individual tickets for all concerts in the Goshen College Performing Arts Series, including Ira Glass, Roseanne Cash, Bobby McFerrin, Béla Fleck, Chris Thile, Soweto Gospel Choir and Rhiannon Giddons, among other artists. The Goshen College Community School of the Arts (CSA) is accepting registrations for Music Together® music and movement classes for young children from birth to age 5 and their families, to be held in June and July 2015. Classes will be held in Elkhart and Goshen.
