Mat Krisetya ’93 named director of operations for Hmong American Farmers Association
The Hmong American Farmers Association named Matius (Mat) Krisetya '93 as the the inaugural Director of Operations. Krisetya has more than 20 years of experience in international nonprofit management and has worked in various countries around the world including Indonesia, the Philippines and Jamaica.

Goshen College choirs to present ‘Love, Faith and Light in Winter’ Feb. 19
The Goshen College Choirs will present their annual Winter Choral Concert on Sunday, Feb. 19. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.

Dr. J.D. Mininger ’97 named Academic Vice-President and Dean of Faculty at LCC International University
In January 2017 Dr. J.D. Mininger entered into the role of Academic Vice-President and Dean of Faculty at LCC International University. His relationship to LCC reaches as far back as 1995, when his parents, James and Virginia Mininger, began the first of their thirteen years of service at LCC.

Free FAFSA help available during College Goal Sunday Feb. 12
During College Goal Sunday, Feb. 12, from 2-4 p.m., financial aid professionals will be volunteering to help college-bound Indiana students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form and open the door to financial aid. The free event will take place in the Goshen College Union Building, and Spanish interpretation will be available.

Focus on faith, family, farming: Curt Zehr ’81 and family named pork’s Farm Family of Year – Agrinews
For Curt Zehr '81, farming always has been about family. The farm and farm businesses that he and wife Sue operate are based in the Illinois farm that has been in Curt’s family for more than 100 years. His start in pork producers groups came with his dad and going to meetings as a child.

This far by faith: GC names Welcome Center to honor first African-American graduate
On Friday, Feb. 10 -- during Black History Month -- Goshen College will officially dedicate the newly-named Juanita Lark Welcome Center in honor of Juanita Jewell Lark, the college’s first African-American graduate in 1943, following a special convocation about her life.

Local students to compete at Science Olympiad regional tournament
More than 20 Science Olympiad teams from 15 area middle and high schools will gather on the Goshen College campus to compete in hands-on science events for the annual Science Olympiad regional tournament on Saturday, Feb. 11.
