Randy Mast is not a pro triathlete, but his training regiment, dedication and focus rivals those who collect winnings. This Coloradan won his age group at Ironman Boulder and finished 17th overall earning a trip to the world championships in Kona on October 11th.
Jeff Gundy, an award-winning writer on the cutting edge of poetry and creative nonfiction and a central figure in Mennonite literature, will give a presentation on “Poetry, the Sleeping King, and Creative Doubt” on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception and book signing.
For Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College, Halloween magic takes the form of talking animals, not spooks. On Oct. 24 and 25, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., staff and volunteers will don costumes and review animal facts for the 25th annual Enchanted Forest at Merry Lea’s Farmstead site.
