Goshen College rakes in a record 27 NAIA All American Scholar-Athlete Awards
With National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national tournaments wrapping up across the country, the Goshen College Athletic Department continues to get rewarded for its outstanding fall season on and off the court, field and course. A Maple Leaf program record 27 student-athletes were recognized as NAIA-Daktronics All American Student-Athletes this week as part of national championship play.
Three Goshen College students’ ‘This I Believe’ essays air Nov. 11-25
GOSHEN, Ind. – The public radio station in Elkhart, Ind., WVPE-88.1 FM, has selected essays by three Goshen College students to air the Tuesdays between Nov. 11 and 25 on the ‘This I Believe’ segment of its program. All of the pieces are scheduled to air at 7:35 a.m.

CNN wanted to speak with Mennonites who are first-time voters this year and learn their views on the presidential election. With the Indiana presidential primary happening on May 6, they decided to visit Goshen College and hear from students about what political issues are important to them, as well as how their Mennonite faith informs their politics.

Five Goshen College student speakers will continue the college's near-century-old tradition by participating in the 2008 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Feb. 5 in Umble Center at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
