Goshen College enrollment on the climb as retention and academic achievement remain strong

When Goshen College's Class of 2009 arrived on campus for Orientation Weekend, Aug. 20-21, there were 14 National Merit Finalists among the group-- twice as many as had ever been in a Goshen College first-year class previously. In addition, among members of the class are a student who showed cows at a state fair, one who turned down a full scholarship to play rugby abroad, and two students who ride unicycles.

Students meet goal of raising $10,000 for tsunami relief efforts

When the Goshen College community of faculty, staff and students reassembled after Christmas break, an immediate call went out from Campus Ministries to respond to the tens of thousands of tsunami victims in South Asia. The campus soon committed to support Mennonite Central Committees (MCC) tsunami relief efforts with the goal of raising at least $10,000. A month later, the goal was met œ with many contributions and prayer.
