College students prep for a lifetime of church engagement as delegates in Pittsburgh

In a time when many churches are experiencing a decline in youth membership, eight Goshen College students will have the opportunity to be engaged with the inner workings of Mennonite Church USA during the July 4-9 Adult Delegate Assembly in Pittsburgh. The students will represent churches and conferences from five different states as they participate in discussions about policy issues and vote on new resolution amendments, prepping them for a lifetime of church involvement.

Goshen College bids farewell to five retiring faculty members

Five faculty members are saying farewell to Goshen College at the end of the 2010-2011 school year as they retire and begin the next chapters in their lives. The five retirees are John Blosser, professor of art; Rafael Falcón, professor of Spanish; Mervin Helmuth, associate professor of nursing; David Miller, associate professor of biology; and David Janzen, director of human resources and affirmative action officer. Together, they have served a total of 119.5 years at Goshen College.

Goshen College announces 2011-12 Performing Arts Series lineup

The 2011-12 season of the Goshen College Performing Arts Series will again bring extraordinary and top quality arts performances to the college, including Manhattan Transfer; Mary Chapin Carpenter; Carolina Chocolate Drops; Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg; Choral Masterpieces With Vance George, Toledo Symphony and GC Choirs; Mark O'Conner Hot Swing; and Cherish The Ladies. In addition, this year's lineup includes a family-friendly performance of Zoo Zoo by the innovative Imago Theater.
