Celebrating its 20th season, the Goshen College Performing Arts Series will again bring world-class performers to Goshen College’s Music Center with an eclectic 2017-18 series featuring music from many genres.
Members of the Goshen College Class of 2017 received undergraduate and graduate degrees after being encouraged by speaker Dr. Luis Fraga, co-director of the University of Notre Dame’s Institute for Latino Studies, to be transformational leaders during the college’s 119th commencement on Sunday, April 30.
It was a day of great thanks and much celebration as Goshen College President Jim Brenneman offered his farewell address, titled "Back to the Future: Reflections on Being GC's 16th President,” to campus during the final convocation of the year on Friday, April 21.
The Goshen College Communication Department continues to enjoy a winning season in national competitions this year, receiving top national honors this month with five Telly Awards. This is the most Telly Awards Goshen College as ever won.
Goshen College has been honored for the third consecutive year with 2016 Tree Campus USA® recognition by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management.
On March 24-25, 2017, the Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions (CSCS) held its first spring consultation at Goshen College, bringing together more than 25 participants, including the center’s leadership team and oversight board as well as administrators and faculty members from Goshen College, Eastern Mennonite University (EMU), Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) and other MCUSA institutions and organizations.
Goshen College was crowned Indiana Television School of the Year in the 2017 Indiana Association of School Broadcasters’ (IASB) college competition. This is the fifth time in the last eight years the college has earned that title.
Che Malambo, an all-male Argentinian dance company, will perform at Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall on May 2 at 7:30 p.m. as the final performance of the Performing Arts Series.
Goshen College and Pinchpenny Press are publishing an intercultural guidebook titled “The Goshen College Guide to Studying and Serving Abroad: Essays on Intercultural Learning,” drawing on the experiences of faculty, staff and students who have participated in SST.
