The Goshen College Theater Department will perform two one act plays, “Something Unspoken” by Tennessee Williams and “A Marriage Proposal” by Anton Chekhov on Friday, Feb. 17, and Saturday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 3 p.m. (ASL interpreted) in Goshen College’s Umble Center.
Goshen College and the Interurban Trolley are partnering to provide all current Goshen College students and staff with unlimited rides on the Interurban Trolley for free, at all times during normal operations of the Trolley’s five fixed routes, including weekdays and Saturdays.
On Friday, Feb. 10 -- during Black History Month -- Goshen College will officially dedicate the newly-named Juanita Lark Welcome Center in honor of Juanita Jewell Lark, the college’s first African-American graduate in 1943, following a special convocation about her life.

Returning to the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall for the first time since 2003, Ladysmith Black Mambazo will perform on Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Performing Arts Series.
More and more local high schoolers are beginning to catch on to the fact they don’t have to travel across the country to get world-shifting experiences that prepare them for the workforce. In fact, they only have to travel down Main Street.
Building on its academic distinctives, Goshen College faculty and administration recently approved 12 new undergraduate academic programs of study, including six majors, three minors, two concentrations and an education licensure add-on program, across five areas of study. The new opportunities will be offered beginning in the fall of 2017.
Seven student winners of the 2017 Goshen College Concerto-Aria Competition will perform arias and individual concerto movements with the Goshen College Symphony Orchestra, directed by Associate Professor of Music Jose Rocha, in the 57th annual Concerto-Aria Concert on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
Professor emeritus of nursing Norma Jean Weldy, 87, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017. She had worked at the college for 33 years until her retirement in 1995.
