In this issue we hear from alumni who are working to cure and find cures during the COVID-19 pandemic, artists who are processing quarantine life through art, and members of the Class of 2020 whose final year of school ended in ways they never expected.
We stand in solidarity with our Black brothers and sisters — fellow colleagues, students, alumni and community members.
Goshen College has mapped out plans for safely holding on-campus classes and opening residence halls this fall for students. This includes moving up and streamlining the academic calendar, flexible residential options and flexible classroom formats.
Five retiring employees are saying farewell to Goshen College this year as they begin the next chapters in their lives. Together, they have served a total of 140 years and an average of 28 years at Goshen College.
On Tuesday, April 26, Goshen College held its first ever Together Goshen Day, seeing more than 1,200 donors and a total $357,470 given toward students and programs at GC.
The Indiana Collegiate Press Association (ICPA) named The Record, Goshen College’s student newspaper, “Newspaper of the Year” for the third consecutive time in the college division during an online ceremony that was conducted via Facebook and Twitter on April 29.
Goshen College honored the Class of 2020 with a virtual commencement ceremony on Sunday, April 26.
Goshen College has been working around the clock to bring students home from study abroad in Tanzania and Ecuador after travel restrictions were precipitously announced due to the pandemic response.
Starting March 19, Goshen College will move classes online wherever possible. As a residential campus, the college will remain open, but will cancel large gatherings and public events until further notice.
