91.1 The Globe wins sixth state title as “Radio School of the Year”
For the sixth time in nine years, Goshen College was named “Radio School of the Year” by the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters (IASB), receiving 15 awards, including six first-place honors and a first-place award for FiveCore Media.
Broadcasting students bring home five national first-place awards
Goshen College broadcasting students won five national first-place awards from 19 nominations at this year’s Intercollegiate Broadcasting System’s (IBS) Multimedia Conference on March 7 in New York City. The five first-place awards are the most by any college at this year’s competition.

Sophomore Ronit Goswami wins 2020 peace oratorical contest
Goshen College student Ronit Goswami, a sophomore exercise science major from Goshen, won the 2020 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest and $300 in prize money on Feb. 18 with his speech titled “Finding Peace in the Trenches: The War on Homelessness.”
Students to deliver speeches in annual C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest Feb. 18
Students Jazmine Macias, Jace Longenecker, Ronit Goswami, Mandira Panta and Nasim Rasoulipour will present speeches during the 2020 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Tuesday, Feb. 18. The annual event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Umble Center and is free and open to the public.

New center to bring together communication co-curriculars under one roof
In fall 2020, Goshen College will open a new center for media arts and journalism in the west wing of the Newcomer Center, bringing together television, radio, print and other media under one roof.
