Students to showcase a medley of musical theater pieces

Across 13 countries and many cultural barriers, three Goshen College graduates found hospitality among different South and Central American Anabaptist groups during their 11-month, 10,000-mile bicycle journey from Paraguay to Goshen.
Spektral Quartet, one of the nation’s fastest-rising young string quartets and ensemble-in-residence at the University of Chicago, returns to Goshen with accordion and bandoneon phenom Julien Labro, playing a fun and fiery program of South American jazz and tangos. The concert is set for Saturday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
Six international courses will take students across the globe to Nepal, Kenya, Greece, Italy, China, Spain and Morocco – and that’s doesn’t even include the summer Study-Service Term (SST) units in Peru, Senegal and Nicaragua that begin in May. Many of these classes are interdisciplinary and open to all students regardless of year or major.
In 1997 a group of ministers from the Conservative Mennonite Conference formulated a resolution lamenting the conference’s “theological drift” from its “historic moorings.”
Three Community School of the Arts (CSA) youth choirs will perform as part of the CSA Spring Showcase Concert on Sunday, May 4 at 4 p.m. Graduating high school senior and CSA flute student Karis Neufeld will also perform during this concert, which will be held in Sauder Concert Hall in the Goshen College Music Center.
