Students are being recognized for their work with co-curricular programs in the Communication Department: the college’s radio station, 91.1 The Globe, GlobeTV, and video production company, FiveCore Media.
I feel honored to be in a unique place to speak to the overlap between womanist theology and Anabaptism. In my experience, 99.9% of Anabaptist-Mennonites are unaware of womanist theology beyond the basic idea that it focuses on Black women’s experience. And there is so much more to womanism than that.
Four Goshen College senior art majors will show their work in the Music Center’s Hershberger Art Gallery, with an opening reception on Sunday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. The exhibit runs through Sunday, April 30, 2023.
The Goshen College Film Production program will present the premiere of their documentary ‘Goshen - A Sundown Town’s Transformation’ on Tuesday, March 21st at 7 p.m. at The Goshen Theater. The event is free and open to the whole community.
The Goshen College Chamber Choir will spend their spring break touring and performing in churches and schools in Illinois, Iowa, and Kansas from Feb. 24 through March 3, with a home concert on Saturday, March 4.
February 7, 2023 was the official release date for Dr. Howard Zehr’s newest book Restorative Justice: Insights and Stories from My Journey. Published by Walnut Street Books, the book contains what the title suggests – stories and insights (and photographs!) from Howard’s years spent teaching, practicing, critiquing, synthesizing, mentoring, and leading.
GC alum Lena Charles '18 was named “Teacher of the Year” at Dallas Independent School District’s Price Career Institute. Charles, who is in her third year at the school, teaches Spanish and is the “SEL champion.”
In response to the current teacher shortage, Goshen College is now offering an online evening track for its Transition to Teaching program. Previously, students enrolled in GC’s Transition to Teaching program would attend classes on campus during the daytime.
