Guest Recital: Patricia Caicedo, soprano
A world-renowned expert in Latin American and Iberian Art songs, Patricia Caicedo is a multifaceted artist-scholar with numerous recordings, books, concerts, and media appearances. Patricia has led a crusade to include underrepresented repertoires and creators in music curricula and concert venues, having performed worldwide and founding and directing the Barcelona Festival of Song, which focuses on studying art songs in Spanish, Catalan, and Portuguese. She will perform a guest recital on Oct. 31.
Fall Choral Concert
On Oct. 28, the Goshen College Choirs will present their annual Fall Choral Concert in Sauder Concert Hall. Performing are the Goshen College Chamber Choir and Vox Profundi, directed by Scott Hochstetler, and Voices of the Earth, directed by H. Roz Woll. The choirs will be joined by Community School of the Arts chorus Sommo Voci in a performance of Robert Ray’s “Gospel Mass.”

Performing Arts Series: Apollo's Fire - Handel's Israel in Egypt
The GRAMMY®-winning ensemble Apollo’s Fire is a period-instrument orchestra founded by harpsichordist and conductor Jeannette Sorrell. For this special performance, the orchestra will be joined by a chorus for a performance of Sorrell’s new adaptation of Handel’s Israel in Egypt.

Homecoming Show: A Comedy Renaissance (Un Renacimiento de la Comedia)
This collaboration between the Theater and Spanish Departments features Entremeses, short farces from the Spanish Golden Age by renowned writers like Cervantes and deVega. Staged readings will explore possibilities of making bilingual theater on our campus and the capacity of excellent storytelling to transcend language. Audience appropriateness: all ages welcome, probably most enjoyable for ages 11 and up.
