Goshen College will host a College Goal Sunday event in the Union Building on Sunday, Feb. 24 from 2-4 p.m.


Hodel and Blickenstaff unite for trumpet and piano recital Feb. 22
Trumpeter and 1986 Goshen College alumnus Dr. Martin Hodel will return to campus on Friday, Feb. 22 to perform a visiting artist recital with retired Goshen College Professor of Music Dr. Marvin Blickenstaff. The recital begins at 7:30 p.m. in Sauder Concert Hall, Goshen College Music Center.


Five students to participate in annual peace oratorical contest Feb. 19
Five Goshen College student speakers will participate in the college’s 2013 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Tuesday, Feb. 19 in Umble Center at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.


Goshen College choirs to perform opera scenes in winter concert
The Goshen College Choirs will welcome the Fairfield High School Concert Choir to the Sauder Concert Hall stage in the Music Center to perform scenes from various operas throughout music history in their winter concert on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m.


Winter One Acts to show Feb. 15, 16 & 17
Goshen College Theater Department’s 2013 Winter One Acts will have variety, featuring a man who believes he is Edgar Degas, a soldier returning home from Afghanistan and a stop-motion film.


Merry Lea to offer Valentine hike
Valentine’s Day is most often celebrated indoors with chocolate and roses. At Merry Lea’s Valentine dinner on Friday, Feb. 15, the special treat is a night hike.

Goshen College violin students in the studio of Associate Professor of Music Solomia Soroka will perform a free recital on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall.

Art exhibit to display Hershberger’s Mennonite ‘iconography’
Goshen College Professor Emeritus of Art Abner Hershberger will showcase his art exhibit titled “Heritage Works” in the college’s Good Library Gallery from Feb. 10 to March 28. An opening reception will be held there on Feb. 10 from 2-4 p.m.
