Afternoon Sabbatical lineup for 2012-13
The 2012-13 line-up of lectures, performances and special trips that are part of the Goshen College Afternoon Sabbatical program will include:


Oberlin Conservatory’s Katelyn Emerson to present organ recital on Sept. 9
Katelyn Emerson, an organ student at Oberlin (Ohio) Conservatory and an American Guild of Organists “Rising Star,” will present a concert of organ music in Goshen College Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 4 p.m.

Merry Lea to host nature poetry reading
Poet and wetland ecologist Dr. Mary Linton has spent a lifetime steeped in the natural world. She’s gone from Midwestern farm girl to scientist, but she’s always believed that a day mucking about a fertile wetland could not be better spent. Linton will share her poetry at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 21 at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College, Wolf Lake, Ind.


Music Center offers fall music lessons, classes and ensembles for all ages
The Goshen College Community School of the Arts (CSA) is currently accepting registrations for the fall semester. The registration deadline for all private lessons is August 13, 2012. Lessons begin the week of August 20.
Prospective students invited for Indiana Private College Week, July 23-27
From July 23-27, Indiana’s 31 private, nonprofit colleges and universities across the state – including Goshen College – are throwing open their campus doors to students, parents and any others involved in the college selection process as part of Indiana Private College Week.


One of longest-running piano workshops to be held, June 18-21
One of the longest-running workshops for both piano teachers and students in the United States will happen again this summer. The Goshen College Piano Workshop and Academy, being held June 18-21 in the Goshen College Music Center, will feature outstanding piano and piano pedagogy clinicians and teachers
