C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest
Five Goshen College students will speak on themes of peace and justice during the 2023 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The annual event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Umble Center and will be live-streamed to the public at goshen.edu/live.

Dicky Sofjan, a professor from the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies at Gadjah Mada University, will present the 2023 Yoder Public Affairs Lecture, “Muslim Cosmopolitanism: A Personal History'' on Monday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m.
63rd Annual Concerto-Aria Concert
Student winners of the Goshen College Concerto-Aria Competition perform arias and individual concerto movements with the Goshen College Symphony Orchestra during the 63rd annual Concerto-Aria Concert.
Faculty Recital: The Sherer Trio
The Sherer Trio, Goshen College’s resident chamber ensemble and comprised of three Goshen College music faculty members, will perform a Rieth Recital Series concert on Sunday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall.
Winter Choral Concert
The Goshen College Choirs will present their annual Winter Choral Concert in Sauder Concert Hall. Performing are the GC Chamber Choir and Vox Profundi, directed by Scott Hochstetler, and Voices of the Earth, directed by H. Roz Woll.
S.A. Yoder Memorial Lecture: Urayoán Noel, "Adjacent Islands: A Geopoetics of Translation"
Urayoán Noel, a Puerto Rican poet, translator and performer who teaches at New York University, will present the 2023 S.A. Yoder Memorial Lecture, “Adjacent Islands: A Geopoetics of Translation'' on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in the Umble Center. This event is free and open to the public.
C. Henry Smith Peace Lecture: Duane Stoltzfus, "Love of Country Distilled to a Question"
Dr. Duane Stoltzfus, a professor of communication at Goshen College, will be joined by several interpretive readers and other colleagues in presenting the 2023 C. Henry Smith "illustrated peace lecture" at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, in the Umble Center.
Performing Arts Series: An evening with Chris Thile
A MacArthur Fellow and GRAMMY® Award-winning mandolinist, singer and songwriter, Chris Thile is a founding member of the critically-acclaimed bands Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek. With his broad outlook, Thile creates a distinctly American canon and a new musical aesthetic for performers and audiences alike.

Former Goshen College art professor Randy Horst ’83 will be showcasing his art in the upcoming exhibit entitled “INSIDE VOICES,” located in the college’s Hershberger Art Gallery, inside the Music Center.
