Award-winning Ulysses Quartet to perform Oct. 9
The award-winning Ulysses Quartet will perform on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016 at 4 p.m. in the Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall as part of the Rieth Chamber Series.


Krabill to present sabbatical exhibit exploring loss and redemption
Merrill Krabill, professor of art at Goshen College, will present a sabbatical exhibition titled “Between Earth and Sky: exploring loss and redemption” starting Sept. 25 through Nov. 6, 2016. A reception will take place on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 4:30, followed by an artist talk at 5:30 p.m. The exhibit, reception and talk are all free and open to the public.


Alumni to discuss sustainable agriculture in a global context
The Goshen College Biology Department will host a two-day symposium during Homecoming Weekend, Oct. 7-8, to celebrate accomplishments of alumni, notably the class of 1966, in addressing global food insecurity.


Four alumni receive honors at Homecoming Weekend
The 2016 Goshen College Culture for Service Awards will be presented to Ellah Wakatama Allfrey ’88 and Dr. Doug Schwartzentruber ’78. The 2016 Dr. Ruth Gunden Champion of Character Award will go to Aletha Stahl ’89, and the Dr. Roman Gingerich Champion of Character Award will go to James Gingerich ’66.


World authors to converge at Goshen College for conversation
Ellah Wakatama Allfrey, John Freeman, Aleksander Hemon and Aminatta Forna, four internationally-acclaimed and award-winning writers, will take part in a conversation at Goshen College on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Newcomer Center, Room 17. The event is free and open to the public.
Founder of Carbon Tracker Initiative to speak about socially responsible investing
Mark Campanale, founder of the Carbon Tracker Initiative, will present a public lecture, titled “Climate at the Crossroads: The Investor Role in Achieving a Low-Carbon Future,” on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Church-Chapel, with a follow-up panel convocation on Monday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m.


Marc Cohn to present 25th anniversary concert
Marc Cohn, a Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter, will come to Goshen for a Performing Arts Series concert in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m. This show will be part of Cohn’s 25th anniversary concert tour.

The Goshen College Biology Department has announced speakers and dates for the fall 2016 Biology Science Speaker Series.


‘Frighteningly talented’ pianist Christopher Taylor to open Rieth Chamber Series
Virtuoso pianist and University of Wisconsin-Madison Professor of Piano Christopher Taylor will present a solo piano concert in Sauder Concert Hall on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is the opening concert in the 2016-17 Rieth Chamber Series at Goshen College.

From Sept. 26 - 30, Goshen College will waive application fees as part of the statewide College GO! Week, sponsored by Learn More Indiana.
