Three CSA youth choirs to perform in spring showcase concert
Three Community School of the Arts youth choirs will perform in the Spring CSA Showcase Concert on Sunday, May 3 at 4 p.m. The concert will be held in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.


A Prairie Home Companion live broadcast from Goshen College on May 2 to include outdoor simulcast
Four million people are expected to tune in to “A Prairie Home Companion” on Saturday, May 2, which will broadcast live from Goshen College at 5:45 p.m. Garrison Keillor will return to the Sauder Concert Hall stage as part of the Performing Arts Series to present this popular radio show, which airs on more than 500 public radio stations around the world.


Open house for adults wanting to continue their education to take place May 1
On Friday, May 1, from 4 to 7 p.m., adults interested in graduate and continuing studies programs are invited to visit Goshen College for an open house to learn more about Goshen’s different programs. It will take place in the college’s Newcomer Center, Room 19 (on Main Street, across from IU Goshen Hospital).


Explore the outdoors at Merry Lea’s NatureFest, May 1-2
Take a hike, roast marshmallows or go canoeing at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center’s annual spring festival, NatureFest, on Friday, May 1, 6:30 p.m. through Saturday, May 2, 2 p.m. NatureFest includes the Turtle Trot 5-K run, hikes for all ages and interests, and booths with hands-on interactive nature activities. Camping overnight is an option.


Helen Frost to present writing workshop, book reading at Goshen College April 29
Helen Frost, an award-winning writer for young adults, will lead a writing workshop on Wednesday, April 29 from 4:30-5:45 p.m. in Goshen College’s Newcomer Center, Room 19. A book reading will follow at 7:30 p.m.


From the Maple City to Microsoft: Raj Biyani ’92 to speak at 117th commencement
Raj Biyani, managing director for Microsoft IT India and a 1992 Goshen College graduate, will be the speaker at Goshen College’s 117th commencement ceremony on Sunday, April 26 at 3 p.m. in the Roman Gingerich Recreation-Fitness Center. His speech is titled “From the Maple City to Cyberabad: What I wish I had known at graduation.”


Art majors present their work in senior art exhibits
Two groups of Goshen College senior art majors will showcase their work in the Music Center’s Hershberger Art Gallery between March 8 and April 26. A combined exhibition will be open April 19-26, including a reception on Saturday, April 25, 2 to 3:30 p.m.


Play brings women’s stories from Ciudad Juárez to light
The College of Wooster Department of Theater and Teatro Travieso will present “Women of Ciudad Juárez” on April 22 at 8 p.m. in Goshen College’s Umble Center. The hour-long performance will be followed by a talkback session with the director and actors.


Turtle Island Quartet with Nellie McKay to perform at Goshen College April 21
Two-time Grammy award-winning Turtle Island Quartet will team up with special guest Nellie McKay to present a delightful kaleidoscope of voice and strings at Goshen College on Tuesday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Performing Arts Series.


Award-winning organist to perform on Goshen College’s Taylor & Boody pipe organ April 19
Award-winning organist Simon Thomas Jacobs will present a recital of organ works on the Goshen College Music Center’s Taylor & Boody Pipe organ on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Part of the 2014-15 Rieth Chamber Series, the recital will begin at 4 p.m. in Rieth Recital Hall.
