Graphic designers display socially conscious collections in Hershberger Gallery
Graphic design artists Anne H. Berry ’99 and Penina Acayo ’11 will display their artwork at the Goshen College Music Center’s Hershberger Gallery from Nov. 16, 2014 through Jan. 18, 2015. A reception will take place on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2-4 p.m. in the gallery, with an artist talk directly following the reception, from 4-5 p.m.

Goshen College music professor and pianist Matthew Hill will present a solo piano recital on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall.
“Eurydice” brings humor, whimsy and romance to Umble stage
The Goshen College Theater Department will wind together romance, death, humor, whimsy, music and poetry in Sarah Ruhl’s “Eurydice,” a contemporary retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus.
Explore the future with “Explore Goshen Day”
On Friday, Nov. 14, high school students have an opportunity to visit the Goshen College campus during a fall open house. Students can tour campus, talk with faculty, participate in an information fair, learn about financial aid and scholarships, spend the night in a residence hall and learn more about what it means to study at Goshen College.
Mother-daughter duo to present a musical sampling in Nov. 11 Afternoon Sabbatical
A mother-daughter duo will provide musical samplings from a variety of genres, including musicals, sacred and popular, during the Afternoon Sabbatical performance on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Art exhibit to explore digital culture and video games
The Hershberger Art Gallery will show works by artists Jason Lahr and Krista Hoefle beginning on Nov. 10 in an exhibit that explores the two artists’ shared use of images, processes and surfaces derived from gaming and related digital culture. The first day of the exhibit will include a reception from 2-4 p.m.
Professor’s love of Andean music builds bridges in community
After moving to Goshen several years ago, Nayo Ulloa, Goshen College adjunct professor and professional Andean flute player, and his wife, Heather, have been finding ways to merge Latino culture into the broader community.
GC Choirs welcome Bethany Christian choir for 2014 Fall Choral Concert

Author Reyna Grande to speak on immigration and the American dream on Nov. 4 and 5
Award-winning novelist and memoirist Reyna Grande will present the 2014 Yoder Public Affairs lecture at Goshen College, titled “Crossing Borders: Immigration and the American Dream,” on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Church-Chapel.
The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields to perform at Goshen College
The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields Chamber Ensemble, based in London, will perform at Goshen College as part of the college’s Performing Arts Series on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
