State-ranked high school choirs to perform seasonal music for Dec. 10 Afternoon Sabbatical
The Goshen and Fairfield high school choirs, directed by Marcia Yost and Ben Kambs, respectively, will provide a musical program for the Goshen College Afternoon Sabbatical on Dec. 10. The program will take place in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall and is free and open to the public.


World-renowned instrumentalists to perform masterpieces during Dec. 9 Afternoon Sabbatical
The husband and wife duo of David Machavariani, cello, and Ketevan Badridze, piano, will be joined by Jameson Cooper, violin, during an Afternoon Sabbatical performance on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Eleventh Annual Festival of Carols to ring in the holiday season
Goshen College will present the eleventh annual musical celebration of Christmas, “A Festival of Carols,” on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. This special celebration of the holiday season will feature four choirs and an orchestra, along with audience participation on traditional carols, all in a concert hall festively decorated with garlands, lights and trees.


Goshen College to screen acclaimed Ukrainian film with local ties
Professor Solomia Soroka’s son, Anton Greene, stars in “The Guide,” a Ukrainian drama that was recently submitted to the Oscars for consideration in the Best Foreign Film category. A special showing of the film will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. in the Goshen College Umble Center and will include a talkback session with the director, Oles Sanin.


Youth orchestras to perform works by American composers on Nov. 24
Two Elkhart County youth orchestras will present a fall concert in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall on Sunday, Nov. 24. The concert will begin at 4 p.m.


Goshen College graduate and contestant on SyFy’s Face Off to speak at GC
Goshen College grad Sarah Elizabeth Miller will candidly discuss her history, passion and work ethic as a professional television and film makeup artist and contestant on the SyFy channel's Face Off.


Goshen College’s Lavender Jazz in concert Nov. 23
Lavender Jazz, Goshen College’s big band, will present a fall concert in Sauder Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 23. Lavender Jazz is directed by Dr. Christopher Fashun.


Two Elkhart County youth orchestras to present fall concert Nov. 23
Young Elkhart County string and wind musicians in the Community School of the Arts (CSA) Youth Honors Orchestras, along with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Youth Symphony, will perform during their annual fall concert on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 4 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.


The Vienna Boys Choir to perform at Goshen College Nov. 22
The world’s most beloved boys choir will appear for the first time at Goshen College on Friday, Nov. 22, as part of the Performing Arts Series. The performance will take place in Sauder Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m.


Goshen College Symphony Orchestra to present family concert on Nov. 21
The Goshen College Symphony Orchestra (GCSO) will present a family-friendly concert featuring music inspired by the children’s book “Old Turtle,” on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall. All children are admitted free to this concert with a paying adult.
