10,000 mile bicycle journey focus of April 29 presentation at Goshen College
An 11-month, 10,000-mile bicycle journey came to an end last week in Goshen. On Tuesday, April 29, at 7 p.m. in the Goshen College Church-Chapel, three Goshen College graduates will share stories from their remarkable journey from Paraguay to Goshen.
National Public Radio correspondent to speak at 115th commencement
Dan Charles, a food and agriculture correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR), will be the speaker at Goshen College’s 115th commencement on Sunday, April 28 at 3 p.m. in the Roman Gingerich Recreation-Fitness Center.
From Goshen to the Gates Foundation: Joyce Bontrager Lehman to speak at 116th commencement
Joyce Bontrager Lehman, a financial consultant, past program manager at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and former Goshen College professor, will be the speaker at Goshen College’s 116th commencement ceremony on Sunday, April 27 at 3 p.m. in the Roman Gingerich Recreation-Fitness Center. Her speech is titled “The Imperative of Providence."

Merry Lea to host birding weekend
Experienced and aspiring birders alike will have an opportunity to seek out their favorite feathered friends during Merry Lea’s Midwest Birding Expedition on April 25 to 27 at Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College. The 1,189-acre nature center includes a diverse array of ecosystems, which makes it an ideal spot for spring birdwatching.
Storyteller John Ruth to offer April lecture at Goshen College
John Ruth will offer a lecture about his new memoir, “Branch,” in Goshen College’s Newcomer Center Room 17 on Thursday, April 24 at 7 p.m. A reception will follow the lecture, during which books will be available for purchase and signing. The event is free and open to the public.
Local pianist and boys and girls club bring puppets to life through music
Local pianist Mary Rose Norell, along with the Music Crew from the Elkhart Boys and Girls Club, will team up with Blair Thomas Puppetry for a performance of "A Piano with Three Tales" on April 24, 2014 at 7 p.m. in Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.

The Goshen College Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Christopher Fashun, will present its spring concert in Sauder Concert Hall on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Fleur de Lys to recreate baroque experience at Goshen College April 13
Fleur de Lys, a baroque music ensemble based at the University of Notre Dame, will present a concert in the 2013-14 Rieth Chamber Series on Sunday, April 13 at 4 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Rieth Recital Hall.
