In a new book titled “Helping Youth Grieve: The Good News of Biblical Lament” (Resource Publications, May 2015. $19 U.S.), Goshen College Campus Pastor Bob Yoder explores the role of spiritual lament in the pastoral care and faith formation of adolescents.

A book chronicling the past 120 years of youth ministry in the Mennonite church hit the shelves this month. Bob Yoder, assistant professor of youth ministry and campus pastor at Goshen College, served as editor of the book, which is titled “A History of Mennonite Youth Ministry 1885-2005” (Institute for Mennonite Studies, December 2013. $26.45 US).
The 2013-14 line-up for the Afternoon Sabbatical series, featuring lectures, performances and special trips, has been announced by Goshen College. The series will kick off with a lecture and discussion titled “Protecting Our Children – a Broad Perspective” by Candy Yoder, president and CEO of Child and Parent Services (CAPS) in Elkhart.
