The Goshen College Music Department is pleased to announce that it is launching new $1,000 per year grants to incoming Goshen College students for participation in GC music ensembles. These new grants are in addition to its already existing audition-based music achievement awards, which range from $2,000-$10,000.
Eight years ago, J Sider was mopping floors at small concert venues. Today, the Goshen College alum is founder and CEO of BandPage, a popular online platform for musicians to build a presence and post content for fans.
Goshen College’s Music Department will now be offering three new music scholarships for up to $10,000 a year to new students and is renewable for up to three additional years if a grade point average of 3.0 is maintained.
At the age of 95, Goshen College Professor Emeritus of Music Dwight E. Weldy died on Jan. 12, 2013, at Greencroft Healthcare Center in Goshen.
