The Goshen College Men’s Chorus will conclude their spring break tour to New Orleans with a home concert in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.
Three members of the Goshen College Music Department will present a faculty voice recital in Rieth Recital Hall on Friday, Jan. 23. Performing will be Scott Hochstetler, baritone, and Rebecca Dengler Kaufman, mezzo-soprano, with pianist Christine Larson Seitz. The recital will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Goshen College Women’s World Music Choir will spend spring break touring and performing in churches and schools throughout Pennsylvania from Feb. 23-27, with a home concert on Sunday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Goshen College Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
Seven student winners of the 2013-2014 Goshen College Concerto-Aria competition will perform arias and individual concerto movements with the Goshen College Symphony Orchestra, directed by Dr. Christopher Fashun, in the 54th annual Concerto-Aria concert on Saturday, Feb. 8. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Center’s Sauder Concert Hall.
A new all-campus band will provide a fresh musical outlet for Goshen College students starting in the fall of 2014. The band, which will be an inclusive, non-auditioned ensemble, will perform in concert as well as serve as a pep band for select athletic and other campus events.
Two Goshen College voice students earned top honors at a statewide singing competition on Saturday, Nov. 2. Rhianna Cockrell, a junior music major from Rileyville, Va., and Ben Ganger, a sophomore music major from Goshen, each won first place in their divisions at the annual National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Indiana state competition.
