Goshen College senior Annika Alderfer Fisher, a sociology and art double major from Staunton, Va., won the college's annual C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Feb. 20 with her speech titled “The Inequity of Overconsumption."
Speaking on “Laos’ history of war: The need for UXO removal,” Goshen College sophomore Jacob Putnam, from Chicago, Ill., placed first in Goshen College’s 2013 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Feb. 19.
Five Goshen College student speakers will participate in the college’s 2013 C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest on Tuesday, Feb. 19 in Umble Center at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
