Celebrating the learning of Maple Scholars–GC’s undergraduate research program, which offers summer opportunities for students to collaborate with professors on research projects.At this convocation, we will hear about two 2009 projects: one in environmental science (Jeremy Good, Adie Gerig and Prof. Ryan Sensenig) and one in women’s studies (Rachel Halder and Prof. Beth Martin Birky).

These students will be spending their summers in various ministry, service, and camp opportunities. They will be blessing us off to our respective summer plans, as well as a farewell to those graduating.

Holy Week Chapel
Holy Week or Passion Week marks the week between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. Good Friday, the day of Jesus’ crucifixion, is a campus holiday. This chapel service will call Christians to focus on the most important week of Jesus’ life. It will include an anointing service, and features GC’s Women’s World Music Choir.

Cindy and Daryl Byler share their experiences as MCC representatives for Iraq, Iran, Jordan and Palestine.

Retiring art professor Judy Wenig-Horswell will share part of her faith journey, including the role that Goshen College has played over the past 25+ years of her life.

Shane will put forth his vision for the church and what this world needs of faithful followers of Jesus. Shane is a founding partner of The Simple Way Community, Board member of the Christian Community Development Association, and author of books including The Irresistible Revolution and Jesus for President.
