This all campus event includes a welcome to the new school year, an introduction of this year’s core value theme by President Brenneman, special music, and the annual welcome tunnel. Required for all students as you begin your convo/chapel experience.

A time to prepare ourselves as we enter Holy Week and reflect on Jesus’s last earthly week that included his suffering, trial, death, and resurrection.

Today’s chapel focus is “Hope in Christ.” Short messages will be shared by students Monica Miller and Karina Flores, and accounting professor Andrew Hartzler. Join us as we sing together and reflect on the distractions that separate us from God.

President Brenneman began his higher education journey as a science major and ended up with a Ph.D. in Old Testament.

Graduation seniors will share parts of their faith journeys during their time at college. Speakers include Gretchen Geyer, Reuben Ng, Stefen Baumgartner, and Dominque Chew. You’ll not want to miss this!

Every 10 years, our campus is visited by an evaluation team to determine whether or not Goshen College is worth of accreditation. Are we who we say we are? Do we deliver what we promise? Come find out what has been done to prepare for this important visit, coming up soon.

This Ash Wednesday service invites us to take a look at our inner faith journey as this day begins 40 days of Lent that culminates in Easter celebration of Jesus’s resurrection! Kyle Martin, from Revive Indiana, will speak in chapel, sharing parts of his faith journey and the need for repentance and renewal in our lives. There will also be an opportunity to receive ashes on your forehead, as a reminder of our mortal humanness.

President Brenneman will share that a primary responsibility of Global Citizens is that when we encounter a different person, religion, idea, or culture, we will be quiet and listen. Truly listen, as we try to find holy truth in that encounter.
