The Students are in Thies!!

The students arrived safely in Senegal! Although they were fatigued after a long trip, everyone was in good spirits.  We took them to Thies and they are staying at the guesthouse at John Hoffman School.  After the 40 minute ride from the airport they were all ready to take a walk through the neighborhood around the school.  Before our delicious spaghetti dinner,  David asked a series of history questions and students were game to answer as much as they could.  After learning that the group sings well as they easily broke into 4 part harmony during  the grace (“Great God the Giver of All Good”) we look forward to singing more with this group. We will join them in the morning for breakfast and then orientation to the program begins
