Highlights from Service – Our Partners in Work and Play

One of our primary partners in Senegal is the Evangelical Baptist Church. During Study Term approximately half of our students are hosted by members of the church and our indispensable local coordinator Christine Yanon and her family, David and Nathan, are members as well. Along with attending services and living with members of this church community, we participated in a variety of extracurricular activities including a children’s concert and a soccer game. For the concert SSTers bought cloth, had choir uniforms tailored, and sang five or six songs as part of a larger event for local kids. You can see a rough clip of one set of songs here. We also gathered one Saturday afternoon for a soccer game.
