Service Assignments
Thirteen Goshen College students are spread throughout the nation of
Ivory Coast. They are working in clinics, social service and day care
facilities, on farms and in mission and cultural centers. The students
are predominantly in a north/south axis running through the center of
the country.
Angela
and Mike are living and working in the second largest city in
the country, Bouake. Mike and Angela are

Forty
five kilometers north of Bouake is the small city of Katiola
where Ross and Rehanna are living. Ross and Rehanna

In
the far north of Ivory Coast is the city of Korhogo. The
cultural center of the Senufo people. Linda spends
her days organizing a library at the Baptist Bible Institute.

Andrea
travels around the countryside visiting local villages with a team of
health care educators from the Baptist Clinic of Korhogo.Andrea

Fifty
kilometers to the east of Korhogo is another urban center, Ferkessedougou.
Ferke is home to one of the best hospitals in the country.
Lindsay has been serving as a nurse aide in this setting. Lindsay

Two
students are working on farms in south central Ivory Coast. Peter
spends his days collecting eggs on a very large chicken farm (pictured
at left).
Josiah assists a dairy farmer in a small village (pictured
at right).
Kendra
is working with orphans in the city of Dabou. She is relaxing
with her colleagues (pictured at left).
Stacie
(pictured at right) and Jamie work with children in social
service centers in the small cities of Grand Bassam and
Soubre.
Brooke
also lives in the city of Soubre and works in a local hospital. In the
photo (at left) Brooke is standing with the family, Tiecourah
and Jamie is standing next to her host David Zadi.
