Arrival at CASAS in Guatemala City
We arrived on the CASAS campus in Guatemala City around midnight last night, had a late-night snack provided by Andrea, the CASAS director, and headed for bed. Travel was flawless, with appropriate times, but not too much time, in Chicago and Mexico City. Three of the SSTTers had never flown in an airplane before, so it was fun watching their reactions to the trip. The photos are from our travel and arrival, including a few photos this morning of our dorm floor area and the small but lovely CASAS/SEMILLA campus.
This morning after breakfast we’ll have a brief orientation to campus and then head for Casa Horeb, a local Mennonite congregation. On the docket for this afternoon is a trip to exchange money, some resting time and some journaling. We’ll keep you posted.
