Goshen College senior Laura Schlabach, a communication and environmental science double major from Goshen, and Liz Gunden, a senior art major from Chelsea, Mich., canoe on the Elkhart River on 10.10.10.
On 10.10.10, the Goshen College EcoPAX student club organized a work party day of environmental action and reflection in connection with 350.org’s day of action. After a meal and discussion together at the College Cabin, the group participated in a canoeing race of who could pick up the most trash on the Elkhart River. Students pulled out a total of 591 pieces of trash.
