Justin Gillette and Anthony Anderson came in to Goshen college on July 8, 2014. Justin told us a lot about how he became a runner. We asked him why he goes running and he said, “I have always wanted to not work.” He also said he didn’t want a job. The funny thing is that I thought running was a job, because he gets paid to run.
Justin Gillette started to run cross country in the 8th grade. He also played basketball. Gillette started with the active sports like cross countery and basketball. He is still running today.
Today, Justin runs 4 to 5 miles a day. In a week he runs 110 miles. In the winter he runs 2 to 3 miles a day.
Justin ran his first marathon May of 2001. He ran that race on the day of his graduation. He ran the race in the morning and had graduation in the evening.
