At the age of four Angelo Di Carlo already loved sports so much that he would copy and memorize the whole sports page. He would also read the sports page aloud to his older brother to help himself memorize. At the age of 16 his brother Al got him his first job at TV2.
Di Carlo joined Service Electric Cable TV from his home town Allentown. Service Electric Cable TV was the first cable company in the nation. Di Carlo reported for the station’s sports show, was a sideline reporter, and also worked as a play by play announcer for TV2’s high school sports broadcasts.
Di Carlo is now working for WNDU in South Bend where he gets to be the main reporter for the Notre Dame football games. He also runs the post game show after the football games which he said is one of the craziest shows he works. He also does the weekend sports reports. Di Carlo said, “As much fun as it is to broadcast sports it is more fun to watch sports.” And lucky for him he gets to do both.
