Angelo Di Carlo was interviewed by Wright on Sports on July 9th, 2014. Angelo Di Carlo is a sports reporter for WNDU. The sports report only goes for 30 minutes, he does the coverage for Notre Dame football games.
Angelo started out as a play by play announcer for high school sports game broadcasts. After is freshman year at Syracuse College, Di Carlo became the radio play by play announcer for a minor league team.
If you watch any Notre Dame football game you will see Di Carlo on the sidelines as a sidelines reporter. After the game while everybody else is off the air, he is still on the air doing the recap for the game and he is the only one who does it.
The sports report goes on for 30 minutes and it can’t be 31 minutes or anything like that. But if a game goes into overtime usually Di Carlo has a back up plan.
“Until the music comes on to start the program, I am checking my phone (for score updates).”
Sometimes Di Carlo thinks it is stressful But he gets it all done in the end.
