NBA players and the public are starting to notice Errick McCollum for his basketball skills on the court. But, are people also paying attention to the caring man that he is?
McCollum has been traveling around the world. The one place that stood out for most people is his trip to the Holy Land, Jerusalem. He also tries to be kind to others and tell them to, “Believe in yourself.”
Some players consider themselves the center of their team, but not McCollum.
“I’m just one piece of the puzzle,” McCollum said.
He thinks that family is the most important thing ever, not just basketball. That’s why he tries to visit his brother C.J. whenever he can, even if there is a possibility they will met each other on the court.
McCollum said that after he is done with the NBA, he wants to be a basketball coach. His advice for younger players is, “Be good academically.”
When he visited Goshen College, he thought that the best thing about it was the people. “I think it’s the people,” he said. He thought that they made him feel right at home.
