Sometimes reporters think of themselves as great ones and are ready for anything. Robby Howard, however, is just starting out like anyone else, and still thinks he needs a lot to learn. And he’s right.
Robby Howard, The Goshen News sports reporter, is working hard to keep up. He didn’t start until September, and it was hard for him in the beginning. “I still have a lot to learn,” said Mr. Howard.
When Mr. Howard started at the paper, he was told by his superiors that they would prefer that he would, “stick around for 2-3 years.” That is just another way of saying that they need him for a couple years. He will need to work hard to stay in that position for a little while.
Mr. Howard said that he never wants to pass on a good opening. He said this because if any job that was higher up would happen to come by he would try and get the part. This means that he is still looking for a good opportunity to become a better reporter.
