Gaby Romo has been playing soccer since she was six.
Romo grew up playing soccer during recess at West Goshen elementary. That meant she played soccer with the boys, something which she said, made her “tougher and more aggressive.”
In middle school, Romo got really stressed about making the team. Romo said that she was very relieved to have made the team.
It was not until high school that Romo really started to stand out, leading the Goshen High School team to a sectional championship in 2011. Romo was a three time team captain and earned second team all-state as a senior.
Romo is attending Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne (IPFW) where she plays division-one soccer. Romo said she is majoring in biology and that school takes priority over soccer.
Romo said she will only play three more years, but they should be a great three years!
