Tony Janzen decided to go to Goshen College because he would get a major discount. The reason was because his dad David Janzen was a teacher at Goshen College Tony Janzen said while being interviewed “I was real fortunate about my time at Goshen College.”
Tony Janzen was in the Goshen College soccer team All American honorable. Tony Janzen’s team won conference championship twice, his team also set a recored of 55 wins in four years.
Tony Janzen played against Cambodia Mine Action Center or C-MAC. As an amateur player Tony Janzen scored one goal against C-MAC. Later they asked Janzen to play with their team. Tony Janzen accepted the offer and played for Cambodia. Tony Janzen said “Cambodian players are faster and technically more skilled not many chances for Cambodian youth to develop their skills
