On Wednesday July 13, 2016, two guests came in named Vince Turner and Jason Samuel who were interviewed by Write On Sports.
Turner listened to baseball when he was growing up and that inspired him to be a broadcaster. Turner listened to the Dodgers. He listened to the games on the radio. Turner was a big fan. Turner’s grandfather was his biggest fan.
Turner grew up in Southern California as a foster child. He grew up with his grandparents and when they became sick, he went to a foster home. Many people helped Turner growing up and Turner helped children for 10 years. Turner helped at Bashor Children’s Home, a home for troubled youth. “Bashor was a special job for me” Turner said.
Turner worked for The Elkhart Truth from 1977 to 1985. Turner planned to stay here for three years but he’s still here.
