During his junior year playing for Notre dame against Virginia Tech he broke his ankle which was a huge loss for his fans and team since everyone looked up to him, ” We had lost one of our best players.” Drue Tranquill stated, but although that was a major set back for his football career that didn’t stop him from contributing to his team, and putting more hours into school.
Zaire is currently majoring in Film and television and is minoring in P studies (Peace Studies) which is a study that identifies violence and non violence behaviors. He feels that everyone should be interested and should play a role in helping. For Zaire he saw Peace Studies as a way for him not just to learn about conflicts and people that are currently going but he also felt that he was making a difference in peoples lives and the world. In the end, star football player Malik Zaire injury wasn’t a complete lost, he got one thing taken away from him but gained two things back, a great career in his studies and a chance to re evaluate his football career.
