On July 11th 2018, Write On Sports interviewed Kate O’Connor. We traveled from Notre Dame University to meet with her. This is O’Connors sophomore year in college and is known for playing college women’s soccer at Notre Dame.
Kate O’Connor is a soccer player at Notre Dame, O’Connors plays midfielder as her position. Kate O’Connor is from Coto de Caza, California, she picked to go to Notre Dame even though Notre Dame is 2,228.1 mi away from California: “its a big change but I kinda wanted a change.” Kate O’Connor has played soccer ever since she was five, she played in California she played for So Cal Blues. Kate O’Connor served as a high school team captain as a senior.
Kate O’Connor takes her sports and academics very seriously. In high school O’Connor earned the Titan Award in math as a high school freshman. Her high school coach Romagnolo says: “Kate is a versatile player who can impact both the midfield or back line. She is a great defender and also a connector. She is extremely competitive and has been a part of many successful teams.”
